Programme outline (Free Subject)
All Master's Programmes under the Biomedical Sciences label harbour a so-called floating block of 8 weeks. Students are free in determining the contents of this block, except in the case of clear deficiencies in specific knowledge required to enter the Master's Programme of their choice.
The 8-week period may be used for theoretical courses in the field of the Programme or that of other Programmes. Alternatively, students may want to broaden their view to different fields of science and to take courses outside the scope of the Biochemical Sciences. For some, the floating block may be particularly useful in the first year of the Master track, for further orientation on disciplines the student might want to consider for his/her Major Research Project.
