General research focus: Genome control

The main research theme in the Holstege group is to investigate the molecular mechanisms of eukaryotic transcription regulation and signal transduction across entire genomes. This is done by combining post-genomic approaches (DNA microarray expression-profiling, ChIP on chip, bioinformatics, genome-wide protein-interaction-mapping and screening, mass-spectrometry), with traditional molecular biology, biochemistry and molecular genetic approaches.
